Osteopathy, Physiotherapy, Acupuncture and Podiatry at Horsforth Health Hub
Hooray! After a couple of years for waiting for the right building to come along, we finally realised that the right one for Horsforth Health Hub was right under our noses.
We got the keys for The Park Practice on Parkside in Horsforth at the end of August and can’t wait to get started on making our vision come true. We’ve got lots to be getting on with in order to make the Hub just right, but Horsforth Health Hub is now OPEN and helping people already with our experts in Osteopathy, Physiotherapy, Acupuncture and Podiatry on hand from Monday to Saturday.
Physiotherapy
The Park Practice, just off New Road Side (A65) and the Ring Road in Horsforth, has been home to the well loved Horsforth Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic since 1992 with Pam Smith leading a team of highly qualified Physiotherapists. Following Pam’s retirement (we wish you all the best Pam) many of her team decided to stay and work at the Health Hub. We are delighted that such an experienced team of physiotherapists are still at the Practice and still offering such a fantastic service to the community. We’ll be posting up more about them in future blogs, but you can find out a little more about their services and what they treat on the physiotherapy page.
Podiatry
A well known and very busy Podiatrist and Chiropodist, John Thompson is also keen to expand his successful practice at Horsforth Health Hub. He offers everything from routine chiropody and pain relief to custom made orthotics and toenail surgery. Find out how John can make your feet happy on the podiatry page.
Acupuncture
We also have a hidden gem in Kai Shier who has been practicing Traditional Acupuncture for over 30 years and at the Park Practice since it first opened in 1992 and we hope to reveal more about his fascinating approach to a very traditional Chinese acupuncture in future posts. Watch this space!
We’ll be doing some “nice-ification” over the next few weeks to make the Horsforth Health Hub more patient centred & more family friendly. This update will go further than a lick of paint as we plan to build a state of the art extension in the not so distant future to provide the best possible environment to nurture health, well being & best practice (and to accommodate the essential Lego station in the waiting area). We plan to extend the current waiting area to make it more welcoming, add new accessible toilets with baby change and convert the old small gym into a large accessible treatment room with exercise space. Lots to do, but we hope the new layout will make the Hub more family friendly, easier to navigate and much prettier to look at.
Take a look at some of the improvements we have been making so far to Horsforth Health Hub and apologies to Leeds fans for the West Ham shirt 🙂
